Valle Monte League welcomes the opportunity to share our mission of raising funds to help provide and promote better mental health within our community.
For three years, Valle Monte League was a Silicon Valley Duck Race Buddy raising over $5,000 from Duck adoptions. Over 15,000 Ducks raced through Vasona Park in Los Gatos!
In June 2013, Valle Monte League and Services for Brain Injuries were selected as beneficiaries of the Silicon Valley Capital Clubs Celebrity Bartender Night. Guest were served by the Voice of the Sharks, Dan Rusanowsky and by Valle Monte League member Linda Pfahnl and her husband Joe. The generous tips from our guests directly benefitted both Valle Monte League and Services for Brain Injury.
New to Valle Monte League in 2014 was the 10K Walk for Mental Fitness on June 25. The walk started at Family & Children Services, continued along the Guadalupe River Trail, ending at Services for Brain Injury. Sixty participants came out early to support the connection between physical activity and good mental health. At the end of the Walk, our participants shared refreshments with representatives from Family & Children Services, The Centre for Living with Dying Healing Heart Program, Alzheimer's Activity Center and Services for Brain Injury. Pledges made to our participants raised $20,000, all of which will directly benefit client services at our supported beneficiaries: Family & Children Services, John XXIII Multi-Service Center, The Centre for Living with Dying, Alzheimer's Activity Center and Services for Brain Injury.
