Christmas Tree Elegance 2020 is VIRTUAL!

Whether you are “In a Bubble”, “In a Pod”, or “Home For the Holidays”, you can still eat, drink and be merry this year while contributing to Making Spirits Bright, Valle Monte League’s 53rd Christmas Tree Elegance Fundraiser to provide critical funds for our community’s mental health agencies.  During this unprecedented time, the need for mental health services is greater than ever.  Centre for Living with Dying,  Family and Children Services, and Hearts & Minds Activity Center are counting on our continued support.  We hope you share in our enthusiasm to support essential agencies that provide and promote better mental health services in the community.

$125 – Can give an individual youth grief counseling for four sessions

$250 – Will provide 2 Critical Incident Responses to a school, agency or institution in the aftermath of a traumatic incident

$500 – Will provide a family of four a 9 week series of Healing Heart Group Support

$1000 – Will provide 2 eight hour education/training for teachers, parents and caregivers on how to support children and youth in grief and crisis in an affirming way.

$250 – Funds individual counseling and parent coaching services, so a youth struggling with anxiety can recover and grow

$500 – Helps to provide comprehensive mental health support, including psychiatric care, for a parent recovering from a mental health crisis

$1,000 – Funds support groups for children who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, providing opportunities to build resilience, interpersonal skills, and confidence

$100 – Provides 5 hours of telesupport for family caregivers supporting someone with dementia during the pandemic.

$250 – Provides one support group session for up to 12 family caregivers supporting someone with dementia.

$550 – Provides one day of dementia specific virtual activities for up to 20 clients and family caregivers living with dementia.
